We only get one Columbia County

Zero Waste Columbia is a group of neighbors, organizers, and every day people from Columbia County, NY working to reduce waste in our beautiful little corner of the planet.

We help create programs that reduce waste in Columbia County

Whether it's a biodigester at the transfer station, or starting a Bring Your Own movement with local businesses, we find ways big and small to create a new, less wasteful normal in our communities.

We advocate for smart policy and programs

By sharing the learnings from our Climate Smart Communities, we try to take what's working to address the climate crisis in one town and bring it to other communities nearby.
